Aid for hotels accommodating Ukrainians until May 31 and under new conditions
Today, April 15, is the last day on which the state covers the costs of hotels that have accommodated Ukrainian citizens, regardless of whether they have temporary protection status.
From tomorrow (16.04.2022), hotels and accommodation facilities will receive amounts to cover the costs of only Ukrainian citizens who already have temporary protection status or those who are in the process of terminating their international protection status. The latter can be proved by submitting the application submitted to the State Agency for Refugees.
Expenditure will be covered for accommodation made from 16 April to 31 May, when the Humanitarian Aid Program for assistance for displaced persons from Ukraine expires.
The rest of the citizens of Ukraine, who enter the territory of Bulgaria without registering for temporary protection, have the right to stay visa-free in our country for up to 90 days. They may apply for temporary protection status at any time until 24 February 2023.
