    In order to provide centralized assistance to all arrivals from Ukraine to Bulgaria, the Ukrainian community has established a crisis headquarters and call center:
    +359 884 110 050 – legal aid;
    +359 884 110 330 – on the provision of humanitarian aid. Accepts: material donations, volunteers, money in a bank account, provides assistance for accommodation of people in different places in Bulgaria.

    Humanitarian Aid 

    The American College of Sofia expresses its solidarity with the freedom-loving people of Ukraine. School-wide efforts have raised funds and material donations for refugee families in Bulgaria and for the Ukrainian Red Cross.

    In addition to these efforts, ACS will help displaced Ukrainian students in need of high school education. Depending on availability, class placement will be created for refugee students with the necessary English language skills.

    Muzeiko is offering free daycare and family time services for children of displaced persons from Ukraine currently located in Sofia:

    • Daycare service from Monday to Friday, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, for children in the following age groups: 4 – 6; 7 – 9; 10 – 12. This includes a daily program and meals.
    • Half-day care service from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm for children aged: 4 – 6; 7 – 9; 10 – 12. This includes a daily program and meals.
    • Family time for displaced families from Ukraine (children and parents together) to view Muzeiko’s exhibits from Wednesday to Sunday between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.

    Prevention of trafficking in human beings, verification of job offers in order to minimize the risk of trafficking in human beings, training on Human Trafficking – prevention, identification and follow-up in case of trafficking in human beings.

    People who arrive at the center at the Sea Station in Burgas can receive humanitarian aid on the spot – food and basic necessities. Employees of various institutions will help the refugees in the center to register in our country and look for work or education for their children.

    The center also has a Bulgarian Red Cross point where people from Ukraine can receive financial assistance and consultations.

    Donations of children’s clothes from 0-18 years, incl. and adult clothing. Diapers, formulas, baby purees. They can provide day care for children 0-7 years with or without their parents (if parents need to settle cases by institutions, etc.) in our family center, built on our project at 22 Dorostol Street kindergarten “Sun”). Psychological support for children and / or their parents in Russian, as it is clear that most of them are in shock and find it difficult to cope with the situation. Consultations for obtaining temporary protection status and access to social, health and educational services.

    AUBG is actively supporting its current Ukrainian students and has taken aggressive steps to ensure their well-being and ability to continue their studies. The university’s doors are open for any displaced Ukrainian university students who are able to continue their studies in English, seeking or having found refuge in Bulgaria due to the war in Ukraine. AUBG also welcomes refugee scholars and professors within the extent of its institutional capacity. The university will provide placement and support for such scholars. AUBG can also provide English instruction through its English Language Institute in Blagoevgrad. In addition, current Ukrainian and Russian AUBG students are providing free translation services, cultural support and other support as need arises to displaced Ukrainians. AUBG student residence halls will also be available after May 22, for temporary accommodation of Ukrainian refugees in need.
