Information for Ukrainian citizens located on the territory of Bulgaria.
With biometric passport
- People with biometric passports can reside on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria without a visa requirement within 90 days for a period of 6 months. For holders of non-biometric passports, the visa requirement under the Visa Facilitation Agreements remains.
Citizens without a biometric passport
- Granting of international protection
You can submit the application for international protection in the Republic of Bulgaria at the border checkpoint you arrive at before any Bulgarian state body, which will forward it to the State Agency for Refugees under the Council of Ministers. More information can be found here. Upon the arrival of a group of more than 30 people, the State Agency for Refugees may organize a mobile team to accept the declarations on the spot.
