There is no change in the values of the gamma background on the territory of the country

The data from the radiation monitoring systems in Bulgaria show no change in the values ​​of the gamma background on the territory of the country.

In connection with the information that appeared in various media about increased values ​​of the gamma background on the territory of the Chernobyl NPP, the Ukrainian regulatory authority announced that there is no change in the condition of nuclear facilities and other sites at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

There was a slight increase in the dose rate of gamma background in the forbidden zone. According to experts from the Ecological Center, such fluctuations in the readings of the instruments are due to disturbance of the upper soil layer due to the movement of large numbers of heavy military equipment in the restricted area and the release of contaminated radioactive dust in the ground air.
